Another school district has proposed throttling youth Aether access because bullying is rising. Another panel has discovered a network and confused it for a motive.
Aether can amplify cruelty. So could a hallway, a group chat and a lunch table. The network is fast, persistent and difficult to escape; those are real design problems. They are not explanations for why a social group rewards humiliation or why adults ignore it until an algorithm becomes available to blame.
Fix reporting. Fix incentives. Fix school discipline systems that turn victims into administrative burdens. Give children meaningful off-switches. Stop pretending a communications layer created the people using it.
