The Sovereignty Party and the Security Election
The Sovereignty Party has discovered the future and decided it is against it, except when the future can scan you, sort you, stop you or shoot down something crossing a line on a map.
They are Luddites with a security budget. They campaign against AI administration while demanding more automated border enforcement. They condemn neural interfaces as civilizational decay while supporting broader identity correlation. The contradiction is not accidental. Technology is bad when somebody else controls it and indispensable when they do.
That does not make every criticism they raise wrong. Centralized AI governance deserves criticism. Aether dependency deserves scrutiny. The fact that a Luddite points at a fire does not mean the fire is imaginary.
