Who Audits the Auditors?
Automated compliance is useful. It is also producing the bureaucratic equivalent of two mirrors facing each other.
Model A generates a control narrative. Model B checks it against policy. Model C summarizes exceptions for a human who sees three hundred exceptions before lunch. Everybody involved can truthfully say a person remains accountable.
Accountability is not the same thing as attention.
